ACCESS was delighted and encouraged to come across this announcement this week on Amsterdam Mamas Facebook page, and asked permission to share this with the larger community.

Stichting (Foundation) Amsterdam Mamas (AM) announced its 2015 partnership with Stichting Babyspullen (Baby items Foundation).

For those of you who have not heard of Stichting Babyspullen before, they are an organisation who collect and distribute essential baby items to low income and other families in need in the Netherlands.

As part of this partnership, at all large AM events in 2015 they will be providing a drop off point for attendees to donate their gently used and new baby items. These will then be collected by Stichting Babyspullen and distributed through their network to the families who are most in need of them.

The top 3 items required (in demand) are:

- Blankets
- Bottles
- Hot water bottles

and you can find a complete list of the items they need in the following link:

There will be a drop off points available at the next AM event Get Set Go on the 8th of March so if you are attending (tickets go on sale this weekend, see the newsletters for more details) then please do consider bringing along something to donate.

The caring and industrious Mamas are also working on a second project with Stichting Babyspullen which will involve their crafty Mamas. Watch out for more news about that in the coming weeks.

The partnership with Stichting Babyspullen is part of Amsterdam Mamas ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community and affecting change where we live.

We at ACCESS salute their commitment: to the ‘expat’ Mamas they provide a refuge for, and to the fact that they think of others while doing so. As their motto says: “even in a city, it takes a village” ….and there, everyone is looking out for everyone else.

Brava Mamas. Keep up the good work.
