Expat centre services expanded

Expat centres are one-stop shops for knowledge migrants who want to arrange for their registration and residence status.

 

New services

Since 1 July 2015, expat centres also offer the following services:

  • highly-skilled migrants and scientific researchers who submitted an application for an extension of their residence permit will also be able to receive their residence document at an expat centre.
  • students who graduated in the Netherlands and are in their orientation year as well as highly-educated persons who graduated abroad will be able to receive their residence document at an expat centre following approval of their application for a permit for the purpose of “looking for and performing labour whether or not as an employee”.
  • highly-skilled migrants, scientific researchers, students in their orientation year and highly-educated persons can submit their biometric data at an expat centre.

 

IND is currently active in eight expat centres located in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Groningen, Wageningen and Enschede.
