The Dutch Post Office is a unique facility dealing with a variety of matters one does not usually expect from a Post Office. It is efficient and fast.

The Post Office is owned by a company called Postkantoren BV (www.postkantoor.nl, website is only in Dutch). It offers mainly products and services from TNT Post (the Dutch postal company).

Opening times of Post Offices vary, but are usually Monday to Friday from 8.30 - 17.30. Some smaller offices close for lunch or are only open from 10.00 - 13.30.

City Post Offices are open until 18.00 and on Saturday mornings. In the bigger cities the main Post Office is open until 20.00 at least one evening per week.

Please be aware that for important transactions identification is required such as a passport or Dutch driver's license, European or Dutch identity card.
