ACCESS Job application training is intended for the English speaking community in The Netherlands. During this training, you will learn about the Dutch job market and how to be successful on applying for a job in The Netherlands.
We will focus on the three most important topics when applying for a job:
• 1. How to hunt for jobs
• Determine your career goals, define your target job, where to find vacancies and agencies related to
• the search for international jobs, how to read an advertisement, understanding the current Dutch job
• market and which documents and permits are required when applying for a job in The Netherlands.
• 2. How to write a CV and application letter
• We will work on writing skills, creating a CV and cover letter as well as share and provide feedback.
• At the end of the training, you will know what areas need your attention and you will be provided with a
• "do's and don'ts" list with examples of a good covering letter and CV.
• 3. How to have a successful interview
• Through role play you will practice the interview and focus on: How to prepare for an interview;
• knowing your motivational drives; knowing yourself; creating a convincing message about your
• professional self anddelivering it with confidence. Additional perks: Presenting yourself effectively,
• Dutch etiquette, dress for success, how to follow up and general do's and don'ts of the whole job
• application method.
