Childbirth Preparation Course

Our popular 6 session courses are aimed at couples in the last trimester of pregnancy and are designed to give you and your partner the knowledge and confidence that will lead to a positive birth experience in The Netherlands.

The course is presented by an English-speaking, qualified midwife.
Some of the topics covered include:

  Introduction to the Dutch Health Care System
  Normal labour and childbirth
  Medical interventions (forceps, vacuum use, induction procedures, etc.
  Breathing and relaxation exercises for various strengths of labour
  Toning/strengthening exercises for the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles
  Pain relief, including epidurals
  Post partum period
