| The Hague Bridge, an important step for The Hague – a giant leap for international relations |

Den Haag, 's-Gravenhage, The Hague; all names for the City of Peace and Justice that plays host to some 40,000 Expats. Small wonder then, that the Town Council, De Gemeente, in typical Dutch tradition, is enthusiastic in wishing to offer their guests as much hospitality as possible during their stay in the city.
With this in mind The Hague's Mayor, Burgemeester Dhr. Jozias Johannes van Aartsen (62) has launched an initiative entitled The Hague Bridge, (Haagse Brug) to promote good relations between inhabitants of The Hague and their international community neighbours. The Hague Bridge Project will run for the next two years moving from area to area throughout The Hague.
After a successful debut in the Haagse Hout neighbourhood of The Hague in April The Hague Bridge now moves to Loosduinen in the west of the city opening on 26 September. Full details and an invitation to the Brunch that is a feature of the opening by Mayor van Aartsen can be found in The Autumn issue of The ACCESS Magazine available from the ACCESS offices in The Hague City Hall and many other locations throughout the city. Please check this page for future additions and updates.

26 September 12:30 – 15:00
Official Opening of The Hague Bridge in Loosduinen
Brunch at the Loosduinse Hoofdplein (main square) with the Mayor Dhr. Jozias Johannes van Aartsen,
Deputy Mayor Dhr. Frits Huffnagel and other important guests and expats.
Presentation of the Brochure with walking tours in Loosduinen.
8 October 09:00
Expat Walk for children
Walk around Loosduinen with questions, assignments etc.
Two classes of two primary schools will be invited for this event.
15 October 09:30
Mare Liberum Event
Event on the beach near the beachcomber at Kijkduin. Dig for treasures at the beach, story about Hugo de Groot, maybe a camp fire etc. Two classes of two primary schools will be invited.
29 October 19:30
"Obama in Loosduinen" - Presentation and debate about President Obama.
On November 4th, it will be one year ago that Obama was elected as President of the United States.
